Surveillance is usually done in an overt manner for the purpose of determining certain acts. This can also be done covertly. Interviews are often conducted with the interviewee's knowledge. This can also be done without the interviewee knowing that information is being gathered for a specific reason. The subject is put under observation/surveillance/shadowing to get the minute details like major/minor movements of the subject in shape of the still/video photographs. |
